As quantum technologies rapidly advance, they are attracting increasing attention across industries given their potential to solve highly complex problems and their deep interconnection with cybersecurity.While the evolution of quantum is still in its nascent stages, it is essential that stakeholders throughout financial services share insights and lessons learned from early pilots and scaling efforts. Such collaboration will be necessary to accelerate innovation and safeguard the integrity of the global financial system.

## Mapping quantum developments

This initiative engages key stakeholders in learning about the latest quantum advancements, experimenting with quantum applications in financial services, and in developing effective quantum strategies. Technologies examined include quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum communications and quantum security.The initiative connects to the Forum's Quantum Economy Network, which offers a global platform for governments, businesses and academia to understand the potential of quantum technologies and prepare for their introduction into the economy. It also links to the Forum's AI in Financial Services initiative which includes an exploration of how and AI and quantum are intersecting in the industry. Participants are leaders from the quantum and financial services industries, academics, policy-makers and regulators. Workshops take place virtually and in person in various locations across the globe throughout the year.
