Equipping youth with mindset and skillset to build thriving communities by JA Worldwide

SDGs Impacted

In 2023, JA’s global network in more than 100 countries delivered 17.1 million student experiences, up from 15 million in 2022 and 12 million in 2021. Even without taking into account our continued growth—especially in our JA Africa and JA Asia Pacific regions—17 million students per year over seven years will total 119 million skill-building experiences.

How have we continued to scale? JA’s blueprint for inclusive growth and impact includes our Inspire-Prepare-Succeed learning pathways, continued geographic expansion, new and expanded partnerships with youth-serving foundations and 70 percent of the Fortune 200, a priority on empowering the underserved, and a focus on accelerating both digital experiences and lower-tech offerings for students without access to broadband or devices. JA delivers hands-on, immersive learning in entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial health through nearly half a million business volunteers and teachers, who are building a brighter future for the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders.

The impact of our skill-building experiences goes beyond individual students. For over 100 years, JA has operated all over the world, even in areas of political instability, violence, and war, ready to help students through the unemployment, poverty, and hopelessness that stem from such conditions. By helping youth develop the employment and entrepreneurial tools to find meaningful work and start sustainable companies, JA serves as conduit for peace and prosperity. Through JA, young people are equipped with the skillset and mindset to build thriving communities.
