The International Labour Organization (ILO) has launched the Skills Innovation Facility. The is mapping the challenges that need to be resolved to forecast skills demand, finance lifelong learning, and address the problem of skills mismatch. The facility will pool new and practical ideas and solutions to the key skills challenges that have the potential to scale-up and replicate on a wider scale. The Skills Facility’s Innovation Lab will match projects with technical support and guidance from ILO Skills Specialists and partner experts over the course of a six-month programme to develop prototypes ready for implementation. These will be scaled through a global network that brings together innovators, ILO constituents, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institutions, academia and development practitioners.
