## About the initiative

Launching at the 2024 Annual Meeting in Davos, the Global Risks Consortium will champion the Forum’s work across the Global Risks Initiative, translating risk foresight into proactive action. The aim of the initiative is to ensure that business and policy leaders worldwide make critical decisions based on the best information possible, with a clear understanding of potential futures and their implications.

## The Global Risks Initiative will promote action in two key areas

### Enhancing the understanding and dissemination of risk foresight across multiple domains and timeframes

### Supporting proactive action on emerging best practices through national and industry dialogue

## Timely and relevant risk insights are crucial in a complex and rapidly evolving global risk landscape. In 2026 the initiative’s risk foresight work will be centered around:

Publishing the Global Risks Report which tracks global risk perceptions amongst world leaders in business, government, and civil society across economic, environmental, geopolitical, societal, and technological risks over the short and long term. Bringing together our risk community experts from the Chief Risk Officers Community, Global Risks Advisory Board and Global Risks Consortium to uncover new, interconnected, and emerging risks to provide valuable foresight on the risks of tomorrow.
