# About the Accelerator


## Accelerator model

The Accelerator model relies on fostering collaboration between the government and private sectors to tailor local, needs-based changes in education.

The Education Accelerator aims to provide an opportunity to increase the impact and pace of change of already existing education initiatives.

The Education Accelerator in Latvia was founded in 2023 as a time-bound initiative that will gather more than 50 local community members.


## Governance

Latvian Education Accelerator is led by 4 Co-Chairs who shape the Accelerator's objectives, help monitor its impact and provide direction and momentum.

### Get involved

We invite interested Latvian stakeholders and local businesses to join the Education Accelerator. As part of the Accelerator, you will work with other stakeholders to ensure greater alignment between education and labour market needs.
