## A pioneer initiative

The LET is a pioneer in bringing together the private sector and the humanitarian community to ensure critical supplies reach those in need as swiftly as possible.In 2005, four of the world’s largest logistics companies—UPS, DP World, Agility, and Maersk—joined forces to contribute their expertise and resources where they are needed most. They partnered with the Logistics Cluster, led by the UN World Food Programme, which coordinates emergency logistics for the humanitarian community.  Representing the supply chain needs of the humanitarian community, the Logistics Cluster is the natural partner for private sector engagement, connecting LET support to the needs of hundreds of humanitarian actors, creating a multiplier effect that benefits those in most need.
