# Projects

The LET has a proven track record of rapid deployments, built on clear processes and a strong partnership with the Logistics Cluster. Beyond emergencies, the team conducts Logistics Capacity Assessments (LCAs) in high-risk regions worldwide, helping strengthen preparedness before crises strike. Today, a pool of around 100 trained volunteers stands ready to be deployed whenever and wherever they are needed most.


## Most recent deployments

Since 2007, the LET has supported humanitarian partners in Africa, Middle East, Asia, Micronesia, South America and the Caribbean.


### Gaza

In response to the Gaza crisis, the LET supported humanitarian efforts by providing critical logistics services. LET partners made available a warehouse in Amman, Jordan, which served as a staging hub for over 19 humanitarian organizations and facilitated the storage and movement of more than 5,300 pallets of essential supplies, including food, shelter materials, and hygiene items.


### Lebanon

Following the sharp escalation of the regional crisis in late 2023 and again on 23 September 2024, Lebanon faced a rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation marked by shortages of food, water, and other basic commodities. In response, the LET supported the humanitarian effort through the Logistics Cluster, activated on 8 October 2024. UPS opened a warehouse in Beirut as a key transshipment hub, providing 1,700 pallet positions for storing and dispatching relief supplies.


### Myanmar

After a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar and parts of Thailand on 27 March 2025, the LET was activated to assist and provide humanitarian relief. The LET mobilized to provide ground transport, warehouse storage, and customs support. These facilities provided crucial supplies to the regions of Myanmar most affected by this deadly earthquake. The LET provided warehousing, cargo, handling, and local trucking to help with the safe and ethical delivery of supplies to communities.


## Preparedness

Disaster preparedness reduces time, money and complexity in humanitarian response and lessens the need for international mobilization. One important factor in doing this is conducting a Logistics Capacity Assessment to understand a country’s supply chain strengths and weaknesses. The LET supports the WFP Logistics Cluster in preparing LCAs for several countries.

## Trainings

All LET team members are trained by the participating companies to meet a profile of skills and experience as well as a pre-deployment training package.


## EDUARDO

The Emergency Dashboard Utility for Airfreight Resource & Delivery Options (EDUARDO) tool has been provided by the LET as in-kind support to improve access to information relevant to humanitarian logistics operations.
