An institute, founded in 1911, which is the largest school of engineering in Portugal. It has two campuses, at Alameda in Lisbon and Taguspark in Oeiras, with 8,500 undergraduate and over 1,500 graduate students. Its faculty members include over 700 professors and interdisciplinary scientific activities are developed in about 30 different research units.
