# About

Renewable energy infrastructure is expanding rapidly across land and ocean. The Responsible Renewables Infrastructure (RRI) Initiative supports a more responsible approach to deployment, helping projects move faster by integrating community priorities, environmental stewardship and long-term value from the start.

### Mobilize action

Accelerate tripling of renewables and enable adoption of “best-in-class” practices, grounded in real-world business and policy examples.

# The Responsible Renewables Infrastructure Initiative is a collaboration between the World Economic Forum’s Centre for Nature and Climate, through ACT Ocean, and the Centre for Energy and Materials’ Energy Programme.

Within ACT Ocean, the initiative helps connect the rapid expansion of ocean-related renewable infrastructure with a wider agenda for responsible industry action, supporting approaches that respect nature, strengthen community trust and build more resilient value chains.Within the Energy Programme, the initiative helps connect renewable energy deployment with a systems approach to infrastructure development, addressing enabling factors such as grid connectivity, policy frameworks, permitting processes and innovation that are critical to scaling the energy transition.
