Ambition Statement on Urban Deliveries

Our collective goal is to transform the efficiency and sustainability of deliveries in cities by 2030. By collaborating with city governments and taking action across the entire deliveries ecosystem, the deliveries sector can help address the physical and environmental footprint of urban deliveries while embracing new solutions and models that deliver benefits for consumers, couriers, companies and cities.

How Forum Partners are embracing change:

Alshaya Group

Alshaya Group is committed to advancing sustainable urban deliveries through several key initiatives. Our fleet is undergoing a switch to biodiesel, reducing emissions and positively impacting air quality in urban areas. We are also implementing operational efficiency improvements, such as optimizing delivery routes to reduce fuel consumption. Additionally, our data-sharing initiatives are fostering collaboration with partners, enabling smarter logistics solutions that benefit the entire community. By integrating these strategies, Alshaya aims to create a more sustainable delivery ecosystem that not only meets current demands but also paves the way for a greener future.

DoorDash and Wolt

DoorDash and Wolt support the goal of transforming the efficiency and sustainability of delivery in cities, which can have positive effects on local commerce and communities. We are investing in reducing delivery emissions by helping Dashers and couriers make the switch to electric vehicles affordably and quickly. In addition to piloting new products and resources for Dashers and couriers, partnerships are an important part of the solution: we provide insights to cities and policymakers, and collaborate with organizations working to create better local infrastructure. Local commerce platforms can be an effective partner to help cities meet climate targets and enable sustainable, safe urban mobility.

DHL Group

To ensure excellence in our deliveries to our customer, we have initiated steps to make our last-mile delivery and line-hauls more sustainable.  Our approach for sustainable last mile & line haul includes:

  • Electrifying >66 % of our last-mile delivery vehicles by 2030
  • Growing the sustainable fuels and electrification share of our heavy-duty truck transport to >30% by 2030
  • Reducing fuel consumption through permanent network improvements
  • Supporting development and market availability of hydrogen and electric trucks
  • Developing a Carbon insetting and book & claim product offerings for end customers in development
  • Supporting sustainable transport solutions from for our subcontractors through standards, education, and incentives to invest in green transport solutions
  • Enabling employee contribution through trainings, projects, and sustainability programs

Evolectric

Evolectric is transforming urban logistics by converting existing commercial vehicles into CircularEVs—100% electric, zero-emission solutions. Over the next five years, we plan to electrify at least 10,000 vehicles and establish a decentralized installation network of at least 50 locations, creating local green jobs and supporting fleet decarbonization. Designed for affordability, scalability, and reliability, CircularEVs empower small and medium fleet operators to transition to zero-emission vehicles while retaining the functionality of their trusted assets. Evolectric is proud to contribute to the shared vision for sustainable urban deliveries with innovative and impactful solutions.

NTT Data

NTT Data aims to revolutionize urban deliveries through cutting-edge technologies such as transport management systems with data analytics and AI to optimize delivery routes and improve efficiency and sustainability in last-mile logistics. By integrating real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and advanced route optimization tools, we will help build the ecosystem for seamless, reliable, and timely deliveries. We are committed to collaborating with public entities and stakeholders to support cities in their transition towards greener, more efficient, and connected urban environments, fostering a future of sustainable and intelligent mobility.

Uber

Uber Eats has set a goal to have 100% of deliveries globally in zero-emission vehicles by 2040. We’re working toward this goal helping couriers transition to e2Ws, ZEVs, and other emissions-free modes by investing in partnerships and incentives that make ZEVs more affordable. These investments include facilitating purchase discounts and financing to lower the costs for couriers who seek to own their vehicle, partnering with rental companies to offer schemes that enable couriers to switch to an EVs without the up-front costs and provide them with additional flexibility and choice, as well as working with fleets to accelerate their electrification journey.

Vammo

In support of the vision of more sustainable and efficient deliveries, Vammo plans to:

  • Maintain provision of 100% electric vehicles to delivery workers across Latin America;
  • Invest over $100M USD by the end of 2026 in Latin America swapping infrastructure and the vehicles that use it; and
  • Expand to 3 countries and 10 cities by the end of 2026.

How the wider ecosystem is contributing:

Fin Sustainable Logistics

Fin Sustainable Logistics is dedicated to driving sustainable, efficient logistics and deliveries.

We operate a 100% zero-emission fleet for deliveries, with 103 e-cargo bikes and 150 electric vans to reduce the carbon footprint in city centers.

Our AI-powered platform optimizes routes in real-time, minimizing wasted miles and maximizing operational efficiency.

We collaborate with partners and clients to support data-sharing initiatives and ensure transparency, working collectively towards a cleaner, more efficient logistics ecosystem in cities globally.

HIVED

HIVED is proud to support the industry ambition for sustainable deliveries. Operating a 100% electric fleet since the start, we’re committed to eliminating emissions across urban logistics. In 2025, we plan to expand to two additional UK cities in addition to our current London operation, scaling our impact further.

Beyond electrification, we actively participate in research addressing broader environmental challenges, including brake and tire particulate collection.

Additionally, we are opening new sortation hubs to reduce stem journeys and implementing advanced routing technologies to continually enhance operational efficiency. These efforts collectively reflect HIVED’s commitment to building a quality, sustainable, and efficient delivery network.

Perch Mobility

Perch Mobility commits to advancing sustainable and efficient urban deliveries by providing the safe charging and secure storage infrastructure that right-sized, electric delivery vehicles need to thrive.

Perch Portals are modular, multimodal microhubs made locally from upcycled 20’ shipping containers. Sited in accessible, off-street locations, Portals allow operators to ‘step down’ goods from large trucks or vans meant for highways to light, electric ones that are safer and quieter, while maintaining a safe and orderly public right-of-way.

By the end of 2026, Perch commits to launching 250 US Portals, enabling more than 100,000,000 sustainable parcel deliveries per year.

Starship Technologies

Starship will continue to expand our efforts and our fleet across towns, cities, States and nations to make last-mile delivery more ethical, sustainable and efficient.

To deliver this vision we're committed to continual progress and innovation on everything from charging infrastructure and battery life to all weather operation.

We're committed to working with local authorities and national governments to build supportive regulatory frameworks that give all communities the chance to benefit from zero emission delivery.
