Shaping Digital Futures by Global Shapers Community

According to the Future of Jobs Report 2025, 39% of essential job skills are projected to change by 2030. Alarmingly, half of today’s workforce lacks access to adequate training to navigate a rapidly digitizing future. To address this gap, the Global Shapers Community is launching a collective effort led by the Bengaluru I, London Hub III, and NYC-Brooklyn Hubs to bridge the digital skills gap and prepare individuals for the jobs of tomorrow. This initiative contributes to the ambitious goal of the Forum’s Reskilling Revolution, focusing on the development of technology skills with beneficiaries in over 25 cities worldwide.

To ensure inclusivity and community-focused outcomes, the initiative emphasizes upskilling underserved groups across the communities reached by the extensive network of the Global Shapers Hubs. It aims to establish a standardized, globally scalable digital skills curriculum with a focus on AI, big data, user design, and cybersecurity. The initiative’s core components include curriculum development, facilitator training, a phased scaling strategy, and a robust impact measurement framework. With its community-first approach, the initiative plans to train 15,000 individuals and 150 facilitators, engage schools, and deliver over 25,000 hours of training, empowering wide communities to realize their human potential.
